Up Your House Address Numbers with Solar Power. Can They Find Your House in an Emergency?
Solar House
Address Numbers besides
possibly saving your life, they can save you a lot of
money on electricity. How? If you leave your lights
on at night so that your house number is lit. This can save a
lot of money.
CFL bulbs use about
75% less electricity than incandescent. They last usually 6 to
10 times longer. We have a large variety for residential
and industrial, including spiral compact fluorescent bulbs
13/60Watt 20/90Watt 23/100watt and 2, 4, 6 tube with
2 or 4 pins 13,18,26 watt varieties. Divide
lumens by watts to get the number of lumens per watt. The
higher the number the more efficient (and lower the cost of
operation) to you. In NY City if a 100 watt bulb is always on,
it will cost $12.50 a month in electricity (17.5cents per kWh)
or $150 per year. So a 100 watt replacement CFL bulb will save
about $9.50 a month or $110.00 in one year. Goto

The biggest energy wasters are candelabra incandescent
bulbs! We can special order adapters to use energy efficient
bulbs with a regular size base.
We purchased these bulbs half as a joke for those who want
pretty bulbs and don't care about wasting energy. These are
the biggest ENERGY WASTING BULBS. Candelabra
share with a small base. For those who have these type
bulbs and want to use about 75% less energy we can
special order adaptors to convert to energy saving bulbs. The
money you will save by the upgrade may be recovered
in 3 months (depending on usage and your electric
rates).

We spent days comparing data on
which types of bulbs (ie. T4,T5.T8.T12, CFL halogen,
incandescent, candelabra, flood, br20, br30, Dulux E/DE,
etc) are most cost effective. You would be surprised
at what we found. We were! It turns out the prevailing advice
is not always right. We are available for
consultation.
